Homemade Chili Powder

A great recipe for homemade chili powder. Cinnamon and cocoa powder are unique additions to this blend – while they might sound like weird spices to include in a chili powder, the mix totally works and has a really nice depth of flavors.

Ingredients

1 ounce dried red chili pepper flakes

2 Tbsp ground cumin

1 Tbsp garlic powder

1 Tbsp oregano

1 Tbsp paprika

1 tsp ground coriander

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 Tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

Grind the red chili pepper flakes using a mortar and pestle until the consistency is comparable to the other ground spices.

Combine and mix all ingredients together.
